DG Magazine competition entry.

This was my entry into the 2012 DG Magazine cover design competition for students. The theme was "Images of the Decade", in which each competitor was to pick a decade from either the past or the future and design a magazine cover to their chosen decade. I chose the 1970s and as such, themed the cover to retro gaming and Space Invaders. As the centre-piece of the design, I spent many hours creating a large rainbow butterfly out of Space Invaders game sprites.

Themed panels for use in printed portfolio.

My magazine design received a High Distinction grade, and I featured it in my printed portfolio alongside the above digital illustration. The purpose of this illustration was to be an appropriately themed element for the second page of a two-page spread.
